Combined with Citra, Simcoe and Columbus the aroma immediately presents plenty of dank pine resin, marijuana, orange and grapefruit zest and some slight peachiness. The initial taste follows with more citrus and a little kiss of sweetness before finishing with a dry and firm bitterness that does’t overstep the mark. The body is on the leaner, drier side yet with the little addition of a very light caramel malt, a slight sweet touch blends with the bitter finish to give some of that sticky, oily, resinous character that we love in West Coast IPA. This is a west coast IPA designed with drinkibility in mind and what’s more it’s even Gluten Free! This isn’t everything when it comes to judging how aromatic a hop is but it is certainly a good indicator. Being described as a hop with big notes of cantaloupe melon, lemon, pineapple and orange we decided some mango heavy mosaic would compliment it nicley. Using one of our base IPA malt bills this allows us to show what this hop can do as the main aspect of a dry hop charge. With a creamy body that gives way to a slightly drier finish showing a refined but refreshing bitterness, these are the types of IPA’s that we love to drink!
