Stone has always been obsessed with brewing bold, high-quality craft beer. When Stone developed this pleasantly bitter, deliciously lemony IPA, they took it as an opportunity to do something they’d spent over a year researching and perfecting: reducing the amount of gluten in the beer to the degree that nearly everyone could experience Stone’s no-holds-barred approach to craft brewing.
An enzyme added during the brewing process called Clarity Ferm did the heavy lifting, cutting the bee’s gluten content to well below the threshold of 20 parts per million required by the Food and Drug Administration to label a product gluten-free. What it did not diminish by any stretch was this IPA’s flavor.
Brewed with roasted Kintoki Sweet Potatoes from Saitama Japan.
This imperial Amber is rich and smooth bodies in style, perfectly balanced with early hop bitterness. With the aroma of caramel, sweet potato and hops, Beniaka delivers all senses.
ABV: 4.7% | IBU: 1
Light grainy malt base with some toasty and breadcrumb-like secondary tones. Intense hop aroma with citrus fruits (lemon zest, tangerines, grapefruits), stone fruits (peaches, apricots, mangos), pine nuts, perfume, and dank (grassy, marijuana-like characters). Very low bitterness. Velvety mouthfeel.
Style: Double NEIPA
Super ripe tropical fruit on the nose with a burst of initial mango and papaya. The nose follows through to the palate with more intense tropical fruit flavors. A typical hazy New England IPA, packs a punch at 8.2%.
